Creek Chub 400 Baby Crawdad

 

The #400 Baby Crawdad came out in 1918 and was made until around 1964. CCBC Baby Crawdads were called The Baby Crab up until 1920 when the name was changed to Baby Crawdad. They have bead eyes and rubber legs. The rubber legs are quite fragile so they are often missing. The lips are marked C.C.B.CO Garrett Ind. They were advertised as having 6 catalogued colors but special order colors were also done by request.

 

Creek Chub Baby Crawdads have been found in great colors! Some CCBCO boxes have end labels with the color names spelled out. Others are simply stamped with a code. Here is a color chart to help you discover what color your Baby Crawdad is.
